“Tavi draugi” and “Latvijas Pasts” invite everyone to give meaning to Black Friday
The organization “Tavi draugi” and VAS “Latvijas Pasts” invite people on Black Friday to give their purchases value by joining the charity campaign “Christmas Express Latvia – Ukraine.”
To fulfill the Christmas wishes of children from the Khmelnytsky Crisis Center and the Novobykivka Secondary School, “Tavi draugi” and Latvia’s postal service, within the framework of the charity campaign “Christmas Express Latvia – Ukraine,” encourage thoughtful purchases and the opportunity to fulfill the dreams of nearly 240 Ukrainian children. Children’s letters and their wishes can be viewed here – the link allows you to choose one or more children you would like to gift.

The organization “Tavi draugi” and VAS “Latvijas Pasts” call on the public to respond to the children’s letters addressed to Saint Nicholas and help arrange the Christmas surprises the children are waiting for. Gifts can be sent free of charge via the blue “Latvijas Pasts” parcel lockers or at “Latvijas Pasts” offices starting from November 26.
It is recommended to send gifts by December 30, 2024. Gifts should preferably be packed in transparent packaging or open gift bags to simplify logistics. The “Christmas Express Latvia – Ukraine” will depart for its destination at the beginning of next year.
“Latvijas Pasts” will deliver the Christmas gifts to the “Tavi draugi” organization at Ventspils Street 50, Building 3, Riga, to then be transported to Ukraine. Gifts sent through post offices should include the identification address: “Tavi draugi”, Ziemeļu Street 10, Mārupe Municipality. Gifts sent via parcel lockers can be sent free of charge using the code: TAVIDRAUGI.
At the same time, “Tavi draugi” together with “Latvijas Pasts” continue the campaign “Knitted Items in Support of Ukraine,” in which various knitted items can be donated, especially hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for Ukrainian soldiers at the front. From November 1, 2024, to February 1, 2025, knitted items can also be donated free of charge at “Latvijas Pasts” post offices or blue parcel lockers using the same code: TAVIDRAUGI.
