As the Third Anniversary of the War in Ukraine Approaches, “Circle K” Organizes a Charity Campaign

Before the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Circle K, in collaboration with the charity organization Your Friends (Tavi draugi), is organizing a charity campaign by donating a portion of its customers’ purchase amounts to support Ukraine. During the campaign, which will run from February 17 to 23, €0.25 will be donated for every prepared meal purchased at any Circle K gas station in Latvia. The donations will primarily go toward ensuring logistical processes that allow for the continued delivery of critical support to Ukrainian citizens affected by attacks and soldiers on the front lines.
“Through this charity campaign, we want to remind everyone how important and meaningful individual involvement remains. Whether it’s volunteering, donating goods, or consciously directing part of your daily purchase to charity, everyone can contribute to supporting Ukraine until it wins. We are confident that together with the support of our customers, we can achieve meaningful results in just one week,” says Circle K Latvia’s retail network director, Armands Žubulis.
The head of the charity organization Your Friends, Ulvis Noviks, emphasizes: “Support for Ukraine is constantly needed. The number of aid requests from Ukraine continues to grow, and the situation remains very difficult. That’s why it’s crucial to ensure help is provided as quickly as possible. Last year, the funds raised through Circle K’s campaign were a significant contribution to promptly maintaining logistics in our Latvia-Ukraine supply chain. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to collaborate again to continue delivering the necessary aid to Ukraine.”
As the organization notes, both Ukraine’s army and civilians can be supported in various ways. Donations are always in demand for long-shelf-life and ready-to-eat food, clothing and footwear for children and adults, as well as hygiene products. Soldiers’ needs are more specific, requiring equipment that cannot be purchased by everyone, such as drones, vehicles, medical devices, and equipment for military hospitals. On the front lines, ready-to-eat food, sweets, canned goods, dried fruits, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, thermal underwear (season-appropriate), thermoses, flashlights, headlamps, and chemical body warmers (heated insoles and hand warmers) are equally useful.
The charity campaign will take place at all Circle K gas stations in Latvia from February 17 to 23. Funds raised will be donated from sales of prepared meals at Circle K stations to the charity organization Your Friends. Additional current projects and donation options can be found on the organization’s website.
